Well, at least he’s honest. Offloading feral animals brings out the worst in people it seems. Two out of three humans donated blood today to the Ark. this little snippet was pre-un-trailering of the newest arrivals.

I’ve never heard the emus whistle before! Such sweet babies. What a stressful day today was for this pair. Wrangling them into the pen was interesting. Two out of three of us had blood drawn. Fun times 🤪

Well, that’s not good. Molting has hit here on the farm with a bang. 85 hens and we got 3 eggs today. Again. Ouch. We don’t ever supplement light to the ladies and let their bodies rest. At this point I can’t even give my dogs an egg because we have customers that need their orders. What do you guys do when you have more freeloaders than producers? Add supplemental lighting or let them do their own thing?

One of our grow outs. He’s looking pretty good. Hopefully he can help me get these ladies back in line. 85 hens 3 Roosters and a whopping 3 (yes, Three) eggs today. Must be nice to be a hen on our farm haha. The best feed, the best bedding, treats and free ranging never cages and they don’t even have to lay eggs. Time to make some changes for these free loaders. Gonna toughen up and have expectations for these girls. Crack the whip! 🤪
