While in Townsend this week as a featured artist for Plein Air Smokies, Lisa Engle spotted the orange cosmos blooming in our garden at Dancing Bear…and simply stopped, set up her easel, and began to paint.

There’s something pretty special about watching a corner of our property we know so well catch someone else’s eye and become a work of art, one brushstroke at a time. We’re so glad our garden offered a little inspiration during Lisa’s time in the Smokies.

We’re proud to see Houston Oldham recognized among an incredible group of East Tennessee professionals as part of VIP Knoxville Magazine 's 50 Under 50, and as a member of the Knoxville News Sentinel 's 40 Under 40.

The routes are set and tomorrow morning, 250 riders hit the road. 🚲

The 12th Annual Dancing Bear Bike Bash is almost here, bringing cyclists together for a morning of mountain roads, community, and one seriously well-earned finish at Dancing Bear.

There’s just something special about seeing this many riders roll through the Peaceful Side of the Smokies.

Tomorrow’s going to be a good one. 🐻
