I apologize for the short notice, but we could really use some help tomorrow. We are working under a tight deadline to install OSB in our new dining hall before the drywall installers from Builders for Christ arrive on Monday, and we would appreciate any and all support. Here we go.

Builders for Christ "The Master's Builders" 2026 summer project, has been announced. And it’s the dining hall at G & M McIntosh Saltwater Youth Camp !!

In 2020 this organization was brought into our lives thanks to Maria Proctor. Since then they have been the helpers that God chose to make the 7th mile possible. Dining hall, Red Barn, Activity center, cabins, fishing pier, and lodge.

Fostering Families GA is over the moon excited as we prepare to host Builders at our coastal campus. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.

If you would like to help there will be lots of opportunities in coming weeks, we will keep everyone updated!!

need help:

9 years ago God trusted as with pouring a slab at the 7th mile for the dining hall. We now need help doing the same thing at the new coastal campus. 

At this point the 7th mile dining hall annually serves:

*100 children in Foster Care, through overnight summer camps 

*over 400 children not in foster care, through other organizations summer camps and outings.

*over 350 Adults through Faith building retreat weekends hosted by other organizations.

We have the opportunity to build the same capacity again at G & M McIntosh Saltwater Youth Camp, but we need the help of local businesses. We are looking for 30 businesses that can donate $1000 each to cover the cost of concrete. Below is a list of all the other periphery components that have been donated. The concrete is the current stumbling block. We need help smashing that stumbling block. 

Currently donated:

*Land on a coastal river to build on
*6000 sq/ft building package
*tree removal/site prep
*form work
*Window package
*Door package
* 2x4, and 2x6 package for framing
*OSB bundles for siding

If we can smash through this barrier of funding the concrete, we may also be eligible for donated labor to frame the interior walls, pull electrical and hang drywall.

If you know of any businesses that you think might be interested in being 1 of the 30 that allow us to pursue what God has for us with this new chapter, please tag them or send me a contact. I would be more than happy to call them and share our passion for growing our ability to serve our kids .

It’s rainy and cold. Let’s talk about lawn mowers. 🤣

Fostering Families GA, thanks to the heads up from some friends, was able to source 10 NEW zero turns, off the clearance inventory from a major box store. 

3 have been committed to local long-term ministry work, and one has been donated to a Ministry fundraiser in Vidalia. 

Now we need to sell some of these to get back to Zero, and hopefully raise some money to put towards Concrete under the dining hall at G & M McIntosh Saltwater Youth Camp. Funding that Concrete pad, is a huge rate limiting step towards bringing new Camps online there.

Reminder no sales tax on these and 100% of the money is going to help us continue sharing the unconditional love of Christ with children in crisis situations. 😎

And, if anyone is feeling benevolent and would like to springboard the next campus into viability serving our children, total concrete cost is expected to be around 28 or $29,000 😳 for the pad to erect the 6000 square-foot building that has been donated.
