Meet: Monica Ostapkovich
She lost her beloved dog, Hammer, in November after spending 9 1/2 years by her side.
Monica rescued Hammer in 2012 when he was 6 years old thanks to the encouragement of her good friend, Monica quickly realized that she needed Hammer just as much as he needed her. Hammer crossed the rainbow bridge in November of 2021 at 15 and a half years old.
Monica and Hammer spent their years together exploring California, Colorado, South Carolina, and countless places in between. No matter where they were, home was where Hammer was. Their favorite activity was truly their walks… walks on the beach, hiking in the mountains, strolling the local parks. He had the cutest little ear bounce when he got into his stride.
Saying goodbye to Hammer was the hardest decision I’ve had to make. It’s a decision I feel like no one really talks about. I pray it was the right one. He was my buddy. For 9 years it was me and him. I feel such a void. Homesick. But, I find comfort in knowing I gave him the best life I could and now he is at total peace 🤍

Meet: Bailey Sheridan
She suddenly lost her one & only brother 10 years ago.
Christopher loved hard and his greatest passions were cars and cooking. He loved spreading his love by having his family and friends over for dinners. He was in school for auto mechanics at the time of his passing.
Bailey & Chris had traditions every year at Christmas (like most siblings do), and they promised each other until we they were married with families of their own, that they would always spend Christmas Eve together, sleeping in the same room. They would sing and dance all night long to one of their favorite tunes “Midnight train to Georgia”.
“Grief is the oddest emotion I have ever had. Some days it feels like a life time since I’ve heard his laugh, and other days, I hear him in my dreams all night. I take comfort in knowing he is finally at peace. I have learned to speak of him often, and sing and laugh to our favorite songs. I never want to forget what it felt like to have him as a brother.” Bailey Sheridan
Our hearts go out to and everyone who has gone through a similar experience. REMEMBER: You are not alone.
