We have a new program! It's called DOGGY DAY OUT!

You can take one of our shelter dogs for a few hours or the day! Take someone who it looking for their furever home about town so folks see them, take LOTS of pictures of you having fun together on your social media and help us place them.

It's a win win situation. The dogs get a break from the shelter, they get to go bye-bye, get a walk and perhaps a pup cup. Your interactions with them help us build their bios and show us how they act outside the shelter.

FOSTER: We have a few long term residents at the shelter that we'd love to find foster homes for. They are our harder cases in that they don't do well with other animals (or at least don't here at the shelter). If you are that special person who has the ability to show our pups love, kindness and empathy while working with them - we'd love to hear from you!

We need folks immediately to help at the Thrift Store on Colbalt Road, next to the Laundromat to put items out for sale, sort donations and the like.

We would also like to partner with businesses in the community to sponsor our animals. Perhaps your business, club or church group would like to sponsor a dog or a cat to get them adopted? Sharing with your customers and community will help us spread the word and get more of our rescued animals adopted. I love this.

I always thought it would be a great idea to have a fresh food and veggies bus to go into food deserts.

A local nonprofit is trying to make a difference in the lives of those people experiencing homelessness here in our community.

He's a very good boy. Likes to go for rides and has been neutered with all his shots.
