Exit 294 on I-40 is Sun Valley between the Petrified Forest NP (18 miles) and Holbrook, Arizona. Go South 1/4 mile to Ramada Road (Cattle Auction on the left).
Turn Right (Back West) 1/4 mile and you are here. WELCOME TO HIGH PLAINS PARK ON ROUTE 66! Small older 10 acre park with 44 spaces currently being updated. Currently 33 40x65 foot pull through sites with metered 50/30/20 Amp Electric, Public water and private sewer. Working on setting up propane, Wifi service and a small Pavillion. Future plans include an additional 46 full hookup sites, a new and larger office, plus a large modern bath house.

Another great place to see close to High Plains Park is just 17 miles east of us on the north side of I-40 is the very colorful Painted Desert. These desert badlands extend about 150 miles from the Petrified Forest to the easter end of the Grand Canyon in the Four Corners area. The best and easiest place to view this is at Exit # 311 on I-40. There is a great Visitors Center with a lot of historical information about the 225 million year old history in the making and the Petrified Forest on the south side of I-40. You owe it to yourself to take the 28 mile drive through the parks and come out just south Of Holbrook Arizona and onto historic Route 66. Just 17 miles away from our park is the Petrified Forest NP. It is constantly amazing to me too see and experience being in a forest from 225 million years ago.
I just went back again a couple weeks ago because it is something to see thats not available in many places.

I just posted on Google to get recognized in searches but not showing up in some basic searches in the immediate area.
Anyone have suggestions on improving google searches or directions TO, simply improving without a lot of code? I AM SURE IT IS PROBABLY SIMPLER THAN I'M MAKING IT.`1
