I send a letter by email in response to the letters the Forest Service sent me. They want S'more Memories LLC to pay to have the trees looked at by an arborist, grade all the trees, and a plan of what to do about the hazardous trees. Then if they approve all of the plan, they have required me to pay for all the trees to be removed or dead branches to be removed. It is posted on smorememories.com when it is ready for the Forest Service.

We proudly serve the visitors of the Hiawatha National Forest Campgrounds under a special use permit.

The Forest Service did not come to look at the trees we have marked. 5/24/2023

We are looking forward to meeting with the Forest Service today May 23rd. We will keep you posted on what the plan is to remove the hazard trees or branches that they need to remove to meet their legal standards. Let's hope they can do this quickly so we can salvage some people's vacations.
