Maine isn’t just called Vacationland for the views… the facts are pretty wild too. 😄

🦞 Maine produces about 90% of the lobster in the entire United States — roughly 40 million pounds every year.

🫐 It also grows 99% of America’s wild blueberries, which is why blueberry pie is the official state dessert.

🌊 The coastline stretches 3,478 miles when you count all the rocky inlets and islands — and there are 4,600+ islands scattered offshore.

🫎 Oh, and there are an estimated 76,000 moose roaming around… which means locals spend a lot more time avoiding them on dark roads than tourists realize.

From lobster shacks and lighthouse views to wild blueberry pie and moose crossings, Maine is packed with surprises.

And honestly… that’s just scratching the surface of the Pine Tree State. 🌲
