Praying for all first responders, volunteers, firefighters, all agencies assisting and all the people and animals In The path of this devastating fire near my family members. Please mark yourself safe on FB when you are safe to do so. Praying for you all!

This fire has grown with one report stating it is burning 100 acres a minute and just jumped the Brazos River. Near Barton Chapel and Rock Creek Road. Pray!

Please, everyone take extra precautions to NOT do anything that can spark a fire. I cannot tell you how many cars I have driven past in the last couple of days with people hanging their arm out the window with a cigarette. Please don’t mow, shred or do anything outdoors that can spark a fire during this extreme heat warning we are living through in Texas.

Just pray for Texas!

❤️🐝❤️. If you talk the talk, walk the walk for the bees. Bees are searching for nectar and pollen now, make sure you plant vegetation that blooms throughout the year. Our sweet honey bees are thriving as we still have wildflowers! 🐝

The Sturgeon Moon is coming on August 27 🌕

This full moon, named for the giant sturgeon once commonly caught in late summer, has long been a sign of the season’s slow turn toward fall. It’s a beautiful reminder to look up, slow down, and take in the night sky.

Night skies are amazing at the Retreat.

We purposefully keep lights off here for your stargazing enjoyment and for our migrating birds.

Watched many many shooting stars/meteors in the night with no moon. We counted numerous starlink satellites as well.
