The Ocracoke ponies are one of the island’s most special pieces of living history, and you can help support their care while taking a little piece of Ocracoke home with you.

Through the Adopt A Pony program, a donation of $35 or more helps support the care and maintenance of the herd. You’ll even receive an adoption certificate and a photo of your pony in the mail!

Due to this morning’s storm conditions, our office staff will be working remotely this morning for everyone’s safety. We plan to reassess conditions around 10 AM and will make our way into the office when it is safe to do so.

NC Highway 12 is currently closed in our area due to flooding. If you’re on the island or planning to travel from Ocracoke over the next few days, please use caution, and continue monitoring NCDOT and local ferry updates for the latest conditions.

Our team is still available remotely, and we appreciate your patience as we navigate the conditions.

For our guests: If you purchased travel insurance through Red Sky, you may be eligible to file a claim for trip delay or trip interruption related to the storm. Information and a link to Red Sky can be found on our website. Coverage and eligibility will depend on your individual policy.
