I love this magnolia tree in the front yard. While it may look a bit scraggly to some, this tree is a survivor. It’s been through hurricanes and floods, enduring a harsh and ever changing salt water environment. This tree has seen some s**t. It’s bright green leaves have returned with Spring’s arrival, and I very much look forward to the blooms that will come.

Yes, I’m still here! Sorry for the long absence, friends ... life got in the way over the last few months and it’s been hard finding much time to come out and work on the house. But the current public health situation has freed up my schedule considerably! And there is no place I’d rather socially distance than here at the river.
