Seeing where my capabilities stand with this 10k coming up for this Sunday to raise awareness that Mental Health Matters. The 10k is in Acadia National Park, starting in Bar Harbor, way better views than my road.

I did a little test run of a 3mile walk/jog. Definitely doable. Didn't die, break anything and all my joints didn't hate me. I started with a jog to 1.2 miles then did intervals the rest of the way. I'll be sore tomorrow for sure. But today's practice run wasn't that bad.

In case you needed a reminder ☺️ Thank you to Shirts For Vets for the inspiration 😁

Ok y'all are gonna laugh or think I'm out of my mind!!! I signed up for a 10k this Sunday, June 7th, in Acadia to help benefit the MDI YMCA.

Now I don't run, I hate running and have never done a 10k. I'm fit, but I'm not pavement pounding fit. Struggled the last time I did a 5k back in 2019.

Why am I doing this 😌 because I'm going to promote Wild Soul Serenity to raise awareness that mental health matters. I'll be carrying a massive black flag with my logo on it and a T-shirt that reads mental health matters and probably wear something obnoxious or funny. I was able to convince my friend to join 🫶🫣

I would absolutely love support. If you're going to this event to help raise monies for MDI YMCA or would like to cheer us on send your inspirational comments below and follow our 6.2 mile crawl to the finish line. Regardless, it's going to be such a great time.

If you would like to join a jog/walk/crawl to the finish line with us this Sunday whilst giving awareness to mental health, please click this link below and meet us in Bar Harbor at 6:30am 😵‍💫 It's $75 to register, goes from 7-10am. Bring your own water bottle as they are trying to go cup less to save on resources and avoid litter.

This woodshed has become my most favorite project. The vision is coming alive. Firewood for sale for the campers. I feel like I want this to be my hangout. It's so cool.

I have some fresh drinking water in that blue jug for those who desire to quinch their thirst.

I'm kind of speechless. He showed up and started a road. We spoke about pricing I couldn't afford but will try to get. We spoke of what was needed for when I was financially ready. And one day him and his crew came and they made a road. It's not complete but it's gawd damn beautiful. I cried when he left the first gravel pile I so desperately needed for my pathways and low spots in the woods. It hit me when I sat and looked at this donation, all the generous neighbors helping out, the support and those who see me pushing through making it happen even without funding from big monies. The generous load of gravel made it sink in, it hit me and I am so unbelievably grateful. I hustle on a weekly basis to get materials , repurposed, reused, dumpster dived, taking what others don't want so I can build this campground. Donations from friends and loved ones and neighbors I just met. So when this pile showed up, my tough hard core demeanor caved and I cried. I never feel like I could ever repay anyone enough for how I get helped. I barter and trade when able. I starred at this gravel like it was precious, a symbolism of volunteerism, community and friendship. And now I have a road. Where I can bring materials down closer into the woods. 🙏🥹🫂🤝🫶
