Have you heard the news making waves in hospitality? Hotels are supposedly ditching bathroom doors—sometimes in favor of frosted glass, curtains, or nothing at all to cut costs. Guests are NOT happy about it.

One traveler put it perfectly speaking to The Wall Street Journal: “I’ve been married for 25 years, I love my husband, but I don’t want to see him use the restroom.”

We’re with her on this one. Frontier Development loves a good bathroom door. Especially in rooms like this one at our Hyatt House Washington DC / Downtown / Convention Center location.

This year wasn’t just about building. It was about coming and investing in the neighborhoods that shaped us.

From opening our first D.C. hotel blocks from where our Founder & CEO grew up, to launching REALM as DC’s hottest new rooftop destination, to standing alongside Mayor Bowser and the Washington Commanders as they return to RFK Stadium (right next to our Hill East project), every milestone has been rooted in community.

We’ve assembled teams of native Washingtonians who understand what it means to build with purpose. We’ve created spaces where connection happens, and we’ve stayed true to our mission of developing with intention.

As we close out 2025, we’re grateful to our partners, city leaders, and everyone who’s supported our vision. The energy is back in D.C., and we’re just getting started.
