Fishing is pretty good in the river just above the rapids; the fish seem to like the way the water pools just before it tumbles down the stones that form the rapids. White bass, black bass, perch and catfish are plentiful, and don’t rule out the occasional striper. Alligator gar are also plentiful, but an altogether different fishing experience! Fuller’s Folly also has several ponds available for fishing. Not as active as the river, but some folks have pretty good luck there too!

You will need a fishing license to fish in the river but not at the ponds on the ranch.

Guests at Fuller's Folly River Ranch can enjoy the direct access to the Brazos River. Choose from the kayaks and tubes that we keep on site, free for you to use. Or, plan for a float trip where we shuttle you with inner tubes up to our drop-off, where you float back to the Ranch. It’s a lazy river float experience that takes 2 to 2.5 hours depending on the river level. Be sure to bring river shoes, water, sunscreen, and hats.
