For years, you sent us the same note: "We'd love to bring the kids someday."
Starting Memorial Day weekend, the answer is finally yes. Three of our Premium hilltop yurts in Dripping Springs — Annie Ger, Amie Ger, and Dottie Ger — are now open for families with kids age 5 and up.
Sleeps four: one king-size bed for the adults, two camp cots for the kids. Same private hot tub, same rooftop deck and hammock, same hilltop views, same hand-painted Mongolian interior. Now with a s'mores kit upon arrival and your own private gas firepit ready to go. Furry friends welcome too — dogs included.
(Got more than two kids? Give the office a call and we'll figure out how to make it work.)
It took us a while to get here, and that was on purpose. We wanted family glamping to feel like the rest of the property — private, beautiful, worth the trip — not just kids tolerated.
The full story is on the blog: what kids actually do here (less than you'd think), and the genuinely good stuff nearby — Dripping Springs Ranch Park, Hamilton Pool, Pedernales Falls, Blue Hole in Wimberley.
Wimberley and our other seven Dripping Springs yurts remain couples-only. That version of The Yurtopian is intact, we promise!
If you've been waiting to bring the family — what would you do first, the firepit or the rooftop deck?
Family glamping in Dripping Springs is here — 3 Premium hilltop yurts now welcoming kids age 5+. Family-friendly glamping with smores packages and cots for the kids.
