Our hearts go out to all those affected by the flooding. As a resident of Wimberley we are all to familiar with this tragedy. We are thankful our town has not been affected by these floods.

We feel safe in saying that your vacation should not be affected by the flooding unless you had plans to visit nearby towns for water activities.

Did you know Wimberley started as a small mill town in the 1800s? It was named after Pleasant Wimberley, who ran a gristmill right here where Cypress Creek meets the Blanco River.

Since then, it’s grown into one of the Hill Country’s favorite places to visit. People come here for the quiet, the nature, and the charm—whether that’s a walk through town, a swim at Blue Hole, or a peaceful morning by the creek.

We love being a part of this town’s story and sharing it with guests who come to relax, celebrate, and explore.

Just a short drive from Messina Inn, the iconic Blue Hole Regional Park reopens for swimming today, May 1s! Dive into the crystal-clear, spring-fed waters of Cypress Creek, shaded by towering cypress trees—a true Texas Hill Country treasure.

Plan Your Visit:
-Swim Season: May 1 – September 4 (daily), plus weekends in September
-Swim Sessions: 9 AM–1 PM & 2 PM–6 PM
-Reservations: Required for swimming; book online in advance
-Admission: $12 adults, $8 youth/seniors/military, $6 for Wimberley residents

Pro Tips:
☀️ Bring water shoes for the rocky creek bed
