About
The Hudson River Community Association also known as HRCA, is a group of area residents who came together more than 40 years ago to address some of the problems facing our neighborhoods. Our members generally come from the area bounded on the north by the Hastings city line, on the east by North Broadway, on the south by Main Street, and on the west by the Hudson River, but members also live outside this area.
New issues arise continuously, and we are ready and willing to take on these challenges at all times to support all residents, be they apartment dwellers and homeowners alike.
HRCA has tackled many projects over the years and has been successful. We need your help now more than ever. We are concerned about the future of the area within our boundaries, our surrounding area and Yonkers as a whole.
Furthermore, the condition of housing, crime and drugs, police protection, sanitation, vacant businesses, beautification and the need for community services are some of our communities primary quality of life concerns.
HRCA has been working with the Department of Public Works to ensure successful community cleanups and to keep vacant lots clean. HRCA also works on your behalf to ensure more police presence in our area and has partnered with many local organizations such as the James H. Farrell Lodge, the Yonkers Committee for Smart Development, Groundwork Hudson Valley, the Lake Avenue Association, Trinity Plaza Residents Association and the Ludlow Park Residents Associations. These many partnerships are related to community awareness, local planning, development, landmarking and the environment. We unite for the common good.
