Minutes of Last CEA meeting
The last CEA meting of the seaon was held on Sept.11 at 9AM. 12 people were in attendance
Old Business
•Ryan recapped Labor Day events. The weekend went well and everyone had a wonderful time. Peter was very pleased with all the events
•A great big thank you to Susan Richard who chaired the Penny Sale, Labor Day races and costume parade. Susan will not be returnng to the camp ground next year, she has done a wonderful job for many years. Her sister Beth will be taking over.
•Jeanne gave the treasurer's report. Approximately $2100.00 will be carried over to next season.The only oustanding bill is Shains of Maine for the Ice Cream social.
•Ryan reported $9225.00 was given out for prizes on Labor Day. $1200.00 (2 winners-600.00 each for porch raffle) and $8025.00 for site raffle. (1 full site, 2-$1000.00 and 4 $500.00 prizes)
•Nick has posted the winners at the office and kiosks throughout the camp grounds.
•CEA made a $500.00 donation to Peter's marathon run in Oct.for CDLS
•Ryan asked if all row reps who were present will be returning. Janet Renk would like someone to replace her as row rep for duck pond area.
New Business
•Tentative dates were disusssed for all CEA activities for next season. With a few exceptions all activites will remain the same.
•Pot Luck will not be held next season since attendence has been going down each year.
•The possibility of a "corn hole" tourament was discusssed. Peter and Ryan both agreed this would be a good activity. Camp Eaton will purchase the necessary materials. It was suggested that a childrens tournament be held on a separate day from the adult tournament.
•The 2 music nights were discussed, everyone was in favor of holding 2 nights but changing one night to a possible country band. Ryan will explore this possibility.
•Nick brought up the idea of having a garden contest next season. Those present thought it was worth exploring. Nick will chair this event and have a sign up sheet, the contest will be held if at least 20 campers sign up.
•Sally brought up the possibilty of adding a tug-of-war to the adult section of the Labor Day races since only a few adults now participte in the current races.
Barbara LeBlanc will now be servng as secretary of CEA for the next two years.
Sally thanked Nick for his 2 years of service.
