Sir Knights,

I am truly sorry for the short notice of this update but wanted to make sure that everyone had the correct information concerning forming lines and posting colors at Grand Lodge at the end of this week in Dayton. Per communication with the Grand Master (included below), I have the following updates. Please share this with all the Sir Knights in your divisions and commanderies.

The Thursday Banquet will be held at the University of Dayton Marriott, 1414 S Patterson Blvd, Dayton. We have only been asked to post colors and if we have more than 3 Sir Knights who are available to assist us, we will use all we can to es**rt the flag. Please arrive by 5:45 pm if you plan to assist.

The Grand Lodge Session will be held at the Dayton Masonic Center, 525 W. Riverview Ave, Dayton. We will be forming lines and all those who will be assisting should arrive by 7:45 am. A decision has not been finalized about posting colors Friday morning, but a contingency is in place if we are asked.

The Installation of officers and Grand Banquet will be at the Dayton Masonic Center, 525 W. Riverview Ave, Dayton. We will be forming lines and all those who will be assisting should arrive by 4:45 pm (they will begin promptly at 5:00 pm) to be present for forming lines at both the installation and banquet.

All those who are participating should be in full uniform with sword, gloves and cap or chapeau. Let me thank all those Sir Knights in advance for assisting the Grand Commandery and Grand Lodge.

We would like to share with everyone the arrangements for SK David A Wiley, KCT, Past Commander of Medina Commandery No 84 and Past Deputy Division Commander of the North Central Division.

Calling hours are from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 20th at Auble Funeral home (formerly Rospert-Hilliard) 174 N Lyman St, Wadsworth. Services will be on Wednesday, October 21st at 11:00 am at the funeral home with interment at Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman at 12:45 pm.

The Northeastern Division would like to congratulate SK Douglas McIe for becoming the newest Knights Templar Cross of Honor. He joins a log list from the Northeastern Division and is the fifth living Sir Knight from Cuyahoga Falls Commandery.

As the 184th Grand Conclave of the Knights Templar of Ohio draws to a close, we would like to congratulate SK Ronald Ensell on a wonderful year. The Northeastern Division is proud of all you did for us and the Grand Commandery of Ohio this year.

We would also like to give thanks to each and every Sir Knight that assisted with Registration, forming lines, setups and clean ups at the Conclave this weekend. This was a new experience this year with a new format that we were not sure how it would work. Yet our registration had more volunteers than any other body and we were there longer than any other grand body. The Grand Recorder gave special thanks for the reporting of credentials at the Grand Conclave, as it was the most accurate and detailed he has seen in quite some time.

To the CTA and division leadership, you are the backbone of this division, and to borrow from our blessed Savior, and not to be sacrilegious, you our our rock and upon you work we build our success. From assisting Sir Knight Ensell, to organizing activities, to filing in when needed, to the setup and tear down of the hospitality room (which might add, we are still getting complements on) it could not have been done with our SKs Walter Johnston, Mark Fraley, Roy Trembly, Tim Burkhart, Mark Giannaris and others.

Finally, a special thanks to Lady Cindi Swezey Robinson. You are an angel and saint whose radiance was the North Star, guiding all of us this year. Your efforts and successes this year have shown every lady in our division what we need to strive for. Words cannot express the gratitude that we all have for you. Please know that there isn't a Sir Knight or Lady in this division who will not be there to answer you call for anything you will ever need.

There are always far to many individuals who give their time, energy, love and support to remember when giving thanks. Please know that everyone who sat at a table, formed a line, stuffed a bag, ran an errand, grabbed or carried something, or was just there to lend an ear or offer advice; you are appreciated and the reason we are the example for the Grand Commandery or Ohio and the Grand Encampment of the way things should be done.

Sir Knights,

We received a difficult update today from the Shaw family. Ronny, Sir Knight Ronald Shaw and Lady Cathy's son, passed this morning from his injuries. The hearts of many Knight, Companions, Brothers, Sisters and Ladies all over Ohio are sending prayers for comfort to them.

Sir Knights and Ladies, Prayers are needed.

SK Bob Davis fell on Saturday and broke his left hip and left hand. He is scheduled for surgery on Monday. He has too much fluid and blood count low on Sunday. He was getting IV meds to get fluid off and has received blood. They are keeping him heavily sedated because of all his pain. Those that know SK Davis, if he complains of pain, you know he is really in pain. Lady Julie is a wreck.

Also, SK Ron Shaw, Sr. and Lady Cathy's son Ronny was riding his motorcycle with his wife on Saturday along Route 7 between Bellaire and Avondale. The rear tire blew on the bike and they crashed. They were flown by helicopter to UPMC in Pittsburg. Ronny has multiple broken bones including a head injury. His wife was not injured as badly, but as of last evening both were listed as critical but stable.

Please keep our Sir Knights and their families in your prayers.

This year's Grand Conclave will be held on Friday, October 2nd at the Quality Inn & Suites, 4742 Brecksville Rd, Richfield, OH. Information about the banquet (jointly held with all three bodies on Thursday, October 1st) and room reservation information will be coming later.

Please remember that the Grand Council Assembly will be on Wednesday, September 30th and the Grand Chapter Convocation will be on Thursday, October 1st. We will need Sir Knights for forming lines and posting colors at all three meetings and at the banquet.

Let's all plan on attend and supporting SKs Robert Nilsen, Grand High Priest, Steve Carson, Grand Illustrious Master, and Ronald Ensell, Right Eminent Grand Commander.
