Sir Knights,

We received a difficult update today from the Shaw family. Ronny, Sir Knight Ronald Shaw and Lady Cathy's son, passed this morning from his injuries. The hearts of many Knight, Companions, Brothers, Sisters and Ladies all over Ohio are sending prayers for comfort to them.

Sir Knights and Ladies, Prayers are needed.

SK Bob Davis fell on Saturday and broke his left hip and left hand. He is scheduled for surgery on Monday. He has too much fluid and blood count low on Sunday. He was getting IV meds to get fluid off and has received blood. They are keeping him heavily sedated because of all his pain. Those that know SK Davis, if he complains of pain, you know he is really in pain. Lady Julie is a wreck.

Also, SK Ron Shaw, Sr. and Lady Cathy's son Ronny was riding his motorcycle with his wife on Saturday along Route 7 between Bellaire and Avondale. The rear tire blew on the bike and they crashed. They were flown by helicopter to UPMC in Pittsburg. Ronny has multiple broken bones including a head injury. His wife was not injured as badly, but as of last evening both were listed as critical but stable.

Please keep our Sir Knights and their families in your prayers.

Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior has risen! Rejoice and be glad, brothers and sisters in Christ. Share the good news as disciples of Christ.

This has been an amazing weekend for the Sir Knights and Ladies of the Grand Commandery of Ohio and the Northeastern Division. Social Media has been abuzz with the travels, activities and celebrations of our fellow Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Many of our Sir Knights and Ladies have traveled to Washington DC for a wreath laying at Arlington Nation Cemetery at the Tomb of the Unknowns on Saturday and then participated in the 96th Annual Easter Sunrise Service of the Grand Encampment of the USA at the George Washington Masonic Memorial.

Safe travels to all the Sir Knights and Ladies, as well as all those on the road today. Safe travels to and from your destinations.

As many of you have already heard, the Northeastern Division and the Grand Commandery of Ohio suffered a loss this morning. Sir Knight Richard J. Brady, Knight Commander of the Temple, Right Eminent Past Grand Commander, entered the celestial asylum this morning, Sunday, March 22, 2026. Sir Knight Brady was a inspiration and driving force in the division for almost 30 years.

Sir Knight Brady was knighted in May 1989 in St. John's Commandery No 20 where he served as Eminent Commander in 1998 and 2019. He served as Deputy Division Commander from 2000 to 2003 and was appointed as Grand Sentinel by SK Roy C. Ritter, KCT, REPGC in 2003. He was appointed as Corps Commander for E Corps from 2004 to 2006. In 2006 he was appointed as Eminent Grand Standard Bearer where he progressed until he was elected as Right Eminent Grand Commander in 2012. Many Sir Knights have been guided by his wisdom and experience. He will be deeply missed.

The Masonic Services will be on Saturday, March 28th at the Warren Masonic Temple, 112 Pine Ave NE, Warren at 3:00 pm.

Sir Knights,

This post is a reminder that there is an opportunity to participate in Presenting the US Flag on Saturday, July 19th at the International Soap Box Derby in Akron Ohio. We will be meeting at the bottom of the Soap Box Derby track, 789 Derby Downs Dr, Akron, OH 44306. Please be there before 7:30 am so we can lineup and be ready to stop off. We will be marching from the end of the track to the finish line (approximately 50 yards). The Racers and teams will be marching down the hill to meet us and participate in the opening ceremonies, then we will lead them off the track. We should be done within an hours time at most.

Those participating should be in full templar uniform with gloves, sword, and covering.

This is an amazing opportunity to get our name and faces out there for thousands of people from across the country and around the world. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.

Courteously,
SK Joshua Grove, KCT
Division Commander
