Before CBS Staycation began filming at the lake house, here’s a look at what went on behind the scenes.

The day was spent preparing the space, from planning and arranging furniture to cleaning, checking lighting, setting up the fireplace, and refreshing both indoor and outdoor areas.

Every detail plays a part in creating a warm and welcoming environment for the experience ahead.

A few days before CBS Staycation filming, a storm came through and took out the gate. Right in the middle of final prep. Not exactly what you want happening when a production crew is about to arrive 😅

What followed was one of those behind-the-scenes days that most people never see—everyone stepping in, problem-solving fast, and doing whatever it took to bring the property back to standard. Chopping wood, repairs, quick coordination… just focused ex*****on to get everything ready in time.

And we did.

This is really what luxury property management looks like for us. It’s not just about how things appear when everything is perfect—it’s about how quickly and carefully we respond when they’re not. The level of care, attention, and pride we put into every space, especially when it’s under pressure, is what defines our standard.

We don’t just manage properties. We protect the experience, the value, and the expectation that comes with them.

When you own a VHR Property Management company, you learn one thing fast: it's always something. A perfectly planned week can be upended by a single phone call.

Here at Elevated Tahoe Properties, we were in high-stakes prep mode. We’re getting ready for 'Staycation' to film at one of our flagship homes, and every detail had to be perfect.

Then, that phone call.

It was Brandon, our boots-on-the-ground. "We've got a problem. The storm... it took out the gate."
He wasn't exaggerating. The main entry gate was completely broken, just five days before filming. For a moment, we all had the same thought: we're not sure if we're going to have a gate for the house showcasing day.

But here’s the thing about our team: we've built our business on the belief that problems will always appear. The real test is how you handle them.

We don't panic. We find solutions with a smile.

This wasn't a time for a standard fix. This was a time to think outside the box. Our team immediately got to work, calling in favors, sourcing materials, and exploring creative workarounds. Because for us, there's always a way to a solution.

So, did we pull it off?

Eric Mutell and I got to reunite with our grade school friend, Keith Lebel today, and it was so amazing!! Time flies, but friendships are forever. Today was a perfect example of that.

It’s amazing how easy it is to pick right up where you left off after 24 years (🤯) when you have so much in common and so much history 🥰

This is a Housekeeper position with Elevated Escapes, a locally owned VHR company. Applicants must have exceptional attention to detail, strong work ethic, be reliable and have experience cleaning private homes. This position will be required to arrive at cleans on time and work efficiently through the home, taking note of damages, repairs and missing items, while meticulously working through home to make sure clean and tidy for the next guest. Strong communication skills are preferrable. Applicant must be open to direction and critique when learning Elevated Escapes cleaning and staging standards.

Hours and tasks vary weekly with on call shifts available. A workday may vary between 3 to 8 hours depending on the cleaning schedule. We are a growing company and provide opportunity for growth from within.

This position starts at $20/hr. After reviews and some testing, you will get a raise to $23 an hour. Eventually if you are able to train other cleaners, your rate will increase to $25 an hour

2-5 days a week, mostly between 11-4. There are often more hours available. Fridays and Sundays are our busiest days if you are available then, that is a huge plus!

*This position is for Independent Contractors and will be scheduled upon performance.

We are hiring for on-call maintenance and repair of a large group of rental homes in South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, and Stateline areas. This person would also support to the Housekeeping Manager with deliveries and lifting heavy objects.

We will work with you to find your strengths! Hours can vary, but most maintenance happens between 11am and 4pm.
