Huge boost for small businesses in Uzbekistan!
Uzbekistan is easing the tax burden by simplifying tax reporting, increasing the VAT threshold 5 Times and introducing a lower voluntary VAT rate and profit tax exemptions for qualifying businesses.
The reforms are part of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's efforts to encourage growth and less administrative burden on small businesses.

From 1 June 2026, small businesses in Uzbekistan will be able to operate under the simplified tax regime until their annual turnover reaches UZS 5 billion – up from the current threshold of UZS 1 billion.
