WHAT TO PACK FOR VIETNAM IN FEBRUARY (OR HOW TO NOT MELT/FREEZE) ❄️☀️
February in Vietnam is WILD because the country can't decide what season it wants to be. Here's the cheat code:
NORTHERN REGION (Ha Giang, Sapa, Hanoi):
Think "romantic European winter but make it Vietnam" - long-sleeved shirts, trousers, thick jacket, woolen socks, scarf. It gets COLD up there, like actually cold. Your tropical dreams can wait.
CENTRAL REGION (Hoi An, Da Nang, Hue):
The goldilocks zone - thin airy shirts, hat, umbrella (rain OR shine, who knows?), sunscreen, thin jacket for those moody evenings. Peak confusion weather.
SOUTHERN REGION (HCMC, Mekong, Phu Quoc):
BEACH MODE ACTIVATED - hat, short-sleeved shirts, shorts, sunscreen on sunscreen, mosquito repellent (those bugs are HUNGRY), and a light coat because Vietnamese people blast AC like their life depends on it.
Pro tip: Pack layers. February Vietnam will humble you if you show up in just shorts or just winter gear 😂
