[ Nishiki Market" in Kyoto ]
Nishiki Market is called "Kyoto's Kitchen". Special vegetables unique to Kyoto, river fish from Lake Biwa, conger eel, yuba, raw wheat gluten, etc. This is a market where seasonal ingredients such as fresh vegetables and fish are gathered together. Experiencing Kyoto's unique food culture is an attraction that cannot be experienced anywhere else.
Nishiki Market, with its 400-year-old red, yellow, and green arcade, is 390 meters long and has a roof, so you can enjoy strolling even on rainy days. Currently, there are approximately 122 shops. We will introduce some popular stores.
Kyoto Meat Restaurant Hiro Nishiki
This is a restaurant that combines takeout and eat-in. You can also grill steaks, yakiniku, etc.
●Fufusa Rouho
A long-established store that has been around for over 200 years. They carry a variety of creative Namafu(wheat gluten mixed with rice flour and steamed in large blocks), and the Kyoto Namafu Dengaku"is coated with homemade Dengaku miso(grilled tofu dressed with sweet miso paste) that has been slowly cooked for 8 hours.

●Kofukudo
Speaking of sweets in Kyoto, it is Japanese ‘wagashi’ that is popular here. ‘Kofukudo Nishiki Store’ sells a variety of Japanese sweets, including steamed puff pastry, warabi mochi, and salted bean mochi.
●Tanaka eggs
Their signature product is “Kyoto dashimaki” made with carefully selected kelp and bonito flakes. Dashi-maki skewers, which are a staple food item for people walking around, are cut into bite-sized pieces and sold.
●Nishiki Uoriki
you can easily enjoy Kyoto's high-class ingredient, Hamo (Conger eel), for as little as 500 yen. The fragrant smell of teriyaki from the grilled Hamo wafts through the air. If you want to eat while walking, we also recommend Hamoten and Hamokatsu.
