Come to The Bonavista Peninsula, it’s not only for the birds!

They say nobody comes here for the weather. Yet every spring, here they are.

Gannets. Storm Petrels. Black-legged kittiwakes. 350 species flock to our shores, including our provincial bird, the Atlantic Puffin. A little clumsy, but plenty cute, they return by the hundreds of thousands to their burrows in Elliston and the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve. Every year. Rain or shine.
