Breaking news: Summer has been spotted on the Causeway Coast.

We'll try not to get too excited, but the hot tubs, sea views, and sunsets are looking particularly good today.

Slow mornings, front row seats to the coast

A chair that invites you to pause, take it all in, and let the world drift by.

A lone bird catching the first light, gliding through a golden sunrise.

Still waters shimmering as the day quietly begins.

And even the locals know this is the best view in the country…

This is what waking up at Carrick-a-Rede Retreat feels like.

Good thing we don't need speed to turn heads

Portrush Easter Cruise, don't get too excited.

Because the best parts of the weekend... aren't the fast ones

The Pink Moon

Long before calendars and clocks, nights like this meant something.

The Pink Moon, the first full moon of spring, was known as a turning point, a quiet shift from darkness into growth. Named after wild ground flowers that bloom along the coast and hills, it signalled renewal, movement, and the start of brighter days.

But here on the coast, it carries its own feeling.

Fishermen once watched the full moon to guide their tides. Old stories tell of the sea holding its breath under a bright moon, as if the coastline itself was listening.

Some believed full moons like this thinned the veil between worlds. That the land, the sea, and the sky became just a little more connected.

Stand out here long enough and you’ll understand why.

The cliffs fall silent.

The water glows.

And everything feels… just slightly different.

Not louder. Not brighter.

Just deeper.

From first light on the coast to the final pane in place, every step tells a story. Early mornings, steady progress, and a team that takes pride in every detail. This is how something special is built.

A small glimpse behind the scenes, a day on site from our point of view. There’s a lot that goes into it before you ever step through the door.

Follow along as it all comes together.
