It is a brighter day for the US today, do not celebrate yet I have a feeling there are storm clouds covering the new moon rising. Keep vigilant, be prepared, do not let your guard down, evil may be non visible at the moment but it will always find a way to rise again. This is but a small victory and we still need to grind this out of control government into submission and make them realize they work for us and the Constitution is in place to keep the Government in control not us the Citizens.

Well it's been a while for any updates on our progress. It has been a long, hard and at times discouraging year with little and very slow progress towards our goals.
Things are finally moving along, the firewood business is up and running, clean up from the hurricane is still ongoing on ours & our neighbors property funneling plenty of supply for the processor. The new sawmill is on the ocean on its way here and we should see it by mid to late January (it has been a process; international trade is a pain). We have 1 Rental Park model set up on its site and will become a rental unit for February once the sewer is completed. By mid-January it appears we will have 2 long term RV sites and by Mid-February 2 more. So, if you haven't found a place for the winter send me a pm and perhaps, we can set something up. All in all we are downsizing the RV part to 5 monthly sites, 2 weekly park models and 1 guest site. We will be open starting next fall yearly for seasonal rentals from November 1st through April 30th. We may keep the rentals open during the summer if we can find someone to be here while we go North. Last summer in the heat here was enough for me and I still have work that needs to be done to our House in VT.

Well a new twist on things. For those that believe Democrat run areas are the problem I have to say any area run by politicians no matter what affiliation they are are the problem, our out of control Govt is the problem period. We have allowed them to believe they are the masters and we are the servants, they need a rude and consequence full awakening. We bought a property with 3-911 addresses, 3 wells, 3 septic systems and 2 habitable homes. Upon trying to get an electrical inspection to have the power turned on to the lot with the old single wide we were told the property has been reazoned es2a ( environmentaly sensitive) and can only have 1 habitable dwelling. We are over 4200' and 18' above the Suwannee. Yet south of town they just permitted 250 rv spots less than 500' from the Suwannee and 12' above it, you can't make this s**t up. It is amazing how they can make up the rules as they go, time to introduce the county to the person who gave his last gives a F**k many years ago, the appearance of the game master is coming. I tried to do it with their blessing now we are going to do it my way!

It has been a while since I posted anything, sorry for those who enjoyed seeing our pictures and updates. The last year has been a long one, between spending the summer in VT and doing much needed maintenance on our house there to in January going into new onset heart failure. The new venture is 8 months behind schedule but is coming along nicely now. We hope to have the 4 bedroom bunkhouse online by spring and will have 2 rv spots online within the next 2 months. Stargazing and Astrophotography is not possible at the new property as it is heavily treed with old Live Oaks and they are to beautiful to remove. The skies are darker than the were @ Okefenokee Pastimes and are visible through areas where the canopy is thinner. We are working on the purchase of an adjoining property that has several large fields, as with this property there is no unnatural light pollution, we are in true Bortle 3 skies. We are within 5 miles of Lafayette Blue Springs Park that has cavern diving and 12 miles of Peacock Springs Park with the largest underground cavern network in the US. Both can be used for swimming on the hot summer days as well as during the temperate winter. The new property will offer access to the Suwanee River where we will have a canoe launch/retrival area. Our hope is to be fully up and running by fall of 24 with 10rv spots, bunkhouse and 3 theme cabins.
