Unexpected development! The house and camping cabin at Hawkins Point reopened for the winter, from December 15 through April 30. Yes, I'm still retired, but we have a repeat guest who is willing to host in our absence. Colleen just spent the summer working at a guest ranch in Wyoming near Yellowstone, and she formerly owned a cleaning business for many years, so she's well versed in taking care of guests and properties. She will be our co-host on Airbnb. Reservations can only be made there since we shut down our website. We hope some of our past guests can return for the ski season and stay at Hawkins Point. Prices start at only $65 a night for the camping cabin and $175 a night for the house. Check out our listings here:

Your former host is embarking on a new career path that will take me back to a place I love: the gym! I am looking into earning my personal trainer certification and opening a gym specializing in group exercise classes in Cochise County, Arizona. I am pondering a name and a location where I can help folks achieve health and fitness. At my age, this is important to think about if we want to enjoy our "golden years!" I also want to work toward a couple of longtime horsey dreams: becoming an endurance rider and long rider. More importantly, I will be focusing on achieving longheld spiritual goals.

Retirement from my vacation rental business is allowing me to open the next chapter in life. Thank you for your support!

Twin Cedars may be closed for vacation rentals, but the owner of the property at Hawkins Point on Lake Pend Oreille, aka husband Mike, has one RV site available for monthly stays available now and two others that will be available sometime later this year. Inquire directly: 208-255-9880.

Announcing our retirement! Twin Cedars Camping and Vacation Rentals will cease operating September 8, 2025. We have had a wonderful 12 years of hosting guests on our properties and have made numerous lifelong friends through our business. It's time for us to slow down and enjoy our "golden years." We plan to travel, horse camp and fly for the rest of our remaining good years.

We are selling items that have been used for our business, including the best-loved vacation rental in Bonner County: the camping cabin. Also for sale will be the mobile Gypsy camp kitchen/bathhouse, the 24x24-foot deck, the 16-foot round deck, the picnic shelter, portable A/C units, bedding and more! Stay tuned for details. Thank you to our amazing guests for their support all these years. We will miss so, so many of you!

The Gypsy campsite is ready to accept its second guests of the season today. They will be putting up their own two tents. This 24x24-foot deck is the perfect platform for tenting. Also it makes a great deck for parking your RV next to it. We're happy to offer this camping option for our guests. It's a super sweet spot with more amenities than you can shake a stick at!😂

Exciting news! We just opened the house and Gypsy campsite for the summer season! Check out the new listing for the Gypsy campsite, formerly the site where our 20-foot bell tent sat. The spot still has the same great camp kitchen/bathhouse, plus hookups for an RV and the huge wooden deck for setting up a tent and hanging out with gorgeous lake-and-mountain views.

As of June 1, the July calendar is now open for the camping cabin and one of the RV sites at Hawkins Point. We expect dates to fill up fast. We're doing things a little differently this year, as we have scaled back and only have the camping cabin and one RV site, the one next to the east side of the barn, available for short-term rentals. For group camping, the camping cabin has an adjoining RV site only available to those renting the cabin. We're opening the calendars progressively this summer, meaning come July 1, we'll open the calendars for August and come August 1, open for September. It promises to be a great summer. This is a first, a guest skijoring with her dog! A couple from Alaska are staying in the camping cabin, and while Garrett went to Schweitzer today, Oceana stayed at Hawkins Point. She skijored all the way to the sand bar and back behind Stamp.
