Update- The lakes are good to go for recreational use again. They will be refilling from the James and Clearwater Rivers- May 16

Good to know.

Everyone is advised to stay off of Burnstick Lake so they can refill the water planes safely for everyone 🏞

Also Swan and Cow Lake are listed as refill areas 🌟

Forestry 🌲contacted us this morning.
They will be using Burnstick Lake for water bombers🛩 to suppress the fire 🔥by Bearberry.

Christmas 2025 at Bearberry Cabins was pure magic. Canada Adventure Seeker Cary Horning and family settled into the Cougar Cabin, where a crackling wood stove, comfy couches, a big-screen TV, and a properly decorated Christmas tree set the tone for a no-stress, all-cheer family getaway. The kitchen? Fully stocked and ready—just add groceries and ambition.

Outside, it’s next-level Alberta: cross-country ski trails out the door, a sauna to thaw out after winter adventures, wildlife roaming freely (yes, the big ones), and dark skies so clear the stars and Northern Lights show off without apology. Sundre is only 20 minutes away if civilization is absolutely necessary.

Winter, summer, spring, or fall—this place doesn’t miss.
