Evening Everybody
Seeing the weather at the weekend will be nice...I would appreciate if you shared this please..Guillemot Cove is CLOSED to protect the biggest breeding colony in the country.
Berry Head ain’t just another pretty cliff… it’s actually home to the UK’s only Area of Special Protection (ASP)...put in place purely to protect the guillemots nesting there.
That whole cove under the cliffs? Off limits. Simple as that.
From March through to July, no boats, no kayaks, no messing about...absolutely nothing should go in there. And it’s not a suggestion… it’s enforced by the Harbour Authority.
Push your luck and disturb those birds, and you won’t just get a telling off… you’ll be looking at a fixed penalty.
Respect the zone, respect the wildlife..

Can Seven Notes Make a Difference?

A journey I’m still on began at a piano, with seven simple notes I called the " Seven Notes of Hope"

I created them at a challenging point in my life, with family around me, all facing uncertainty. Those notes became a thought… an idea.......could they ever make a difference?
They gave me focus and ambition — a tool to fight uncertainty.
It reminds me that every great symphony must begin with a small cluster of notes — they all had to start somewhere.

This Friday is World Mental Health Day, and also the eve of something I could only have dreamed of back then—Lamplighter Live. Born from those same seven notes.

This week, I urge anyone musical to join us and show how powerful a few simple notes can be. Hear them. Read them. Play them. Feel them. For some, they will represent a call for help. For others, a reminder that everyone needs help from time to time. By doing so, you will show support, which will, in turn, motivate everyone involved.

So, can seven notes make a difference?
I believe they can.

We are delighted that Fight or Flight Creatives and GWS Radio for Glastonbury, Wells & Street will be hosting a very special workshop event here at the Red Brick on World Mental Health Day next month.

Join us for: The Lamplighter - A story of loss, darkness, light, and hope.

Blending music, narration and imagery, this workshop shares the beginning of The Lamplighter’s story, and demonstrates how the arts can explore loss, darkness, light and hope, and promote well-being.
