Kaizer Motaung Jr. has explained why Kaizer Chiefs decided to keep Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef in charge after the departure of Nasreddine Nabi. ⚽
The Chiefs sporting director said the decision followed a thorough review and forms part of the club’s long-term strategy leading up to 2030. According to Motaung Jr., the technical team was already involved in building the squad and understood the players and recruitment plans.
He also stressed that stability was important for the club, which is why Chiefs chose to continue with the existing technical staff rather than make another major coaching change.
Motaung Jr. added that the club’s target this season is to win the Nedbank Cup and return to continental football.
