Inspired by the landscape of the Magaliesburg.

The restaurant murals at Mount Grace draw from the delicate wild flowers and grasses that surround the hotel, bringing the beauty often landscape indoors.

Soft, layered and expressive, they create a connection to place and celebrate the natural beauty of the hotel.

Because great hospitality design should always tell the story of where you are.

Design is often at its most powerful when it creates a sense of wonder.

At the City Lodge hotel, V&A Waterfront a bespoke Kriska Decor chain installation cascades over the central bar, introducing movement, texture and light to the heart of the space. The shimmering anodised aluminium chains create a sculptural veil that shifts throughout the day and night bringing a dynamic quality to the interior.

As the exclusive South African supplier of Kriska Decor Spain, we are continually inspired by the versatility of this product and the endless opportunities it offers architects and designers seeking to create memorable spatial experiences.

From feature ceilings and room dividers to large scale artistic installations, every solution is custom designed and manufactured for the project.

The heart of the City Lodge Hotel V&A Waterfront.

Designed as the focal point of the public spaces, the bar seamlessly connects the interior experience with the beauty of the canal beyond. Cascading aluminium chain curtains are draped from the double volume ceiling like sails, creating a striking feature around the pebble inspired pendant lights at its centre.

Layered textures, warm tones and organic forms draw inspiration from the surrounding landscape, blurring the boundaries between inside and out while celebrating the spirit of the V&A Waterfront.

Hospitality design is about more than aesthetics. It is about creating spaces that evoke emotion, encourage connection and leave a lasting impression long after the guest has departed.

Sometimes the best hotel spaces are not the loudest ones.

Tucked within the City Lodge hotel at the V&A Waterfont is an intimate meeting room designed as a modern private library, a quite retreat for guests needing a moment to work, meet, reflect or simply pause.

Layered with rich fynbos inspired tones, tactile textures and warm detailing, the space carries the same grounded design language woven throughout the hotel refurbishment.

A calm pocket within the energy of the V&A Waterfront.

Thoughtfully hospitality design is not only about the grand gestures. Sometimes it is about creating spaces that simply make people feel good.

The Fynbos narrative is expressed through tonal depth, tactile materiality, and curated artistic collaboration for this hotel refurbishment at the V&A Waterfront. Merlot and garnet accents reference the flowering bursts of the biome, grounded by warm neutrals and natural finishes. Timber, fluted ceramics, layered textiles, and controlled lighting introduce texture and shadow, creating interiors that feel intimate yet durable.
