For some, it means a place where they can rest in comfort between meetings. For others, a place to relax, unwind and rejuvenate before getting stuck back into a hectic work schedule. For still others, it’s an in-between place while their next place of residence is being constructed. The possibilities surrounding the needs are different, but the solution is the same: Somerset View Guest House.

What started as a wish by Carl & Emsie Pohl for a place of their own to manage where they could pour their love and attention to detail, has now blossomed into a reality that greets new guests with a warmth and kindness that is unrivalled in the industry. Supported and encouraged by friends and partners Brian, Jenny and Sarah Lee from the United Kingdom, Somerset View Guest House offers 5 luxurious rooms (with more accommodation on the way) equipped with every amenity that could be reasonably expected by any traveller. But it’s the homely atmosphere, thoughtful details (such as the late check-in/out room) as well as the stunning view over False Bay that make for an enriching experience that gives every guest more than they bargained for and adds unbeatable value to every stay.

In addition to their accommodation services, Carl offers personal Shuttle & Tour services and our RendezView Homestyle Fine Dining service features the rich and healthy cooking of none other than Emsie herself.

Somerset View Guest House is located 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport and nestled in the quiet Heldervue neighbourhood within walking distance of both Waterstone Village Shopping Centre as well as the Lord Charles Hotel and Conference Centre.
