A few good reasons to visit Southern and Eastern Africa

* Table Mountain is one of the new seven wonders of the World. It is
also the northern border of the Table Mountain National Park.
* The Cape of Good Hope is the South Western Tip of Africa. An
amazing area with some of the worlds highest sea cliffs. It also has
the most powerful lighthouse in the Worlds. Sir Francis Drake called
it "the fairest Cape on the whole circumfrence of the World".
*The Blyde River Canyon is the Worlds third largest canyon and
the largest green canyon. At the Southern end of the canyon is the
amazing potholes eroded into the riverbed, known as Bourke's Luck
* The Kruger National Park is the four largest National Park in Africa
and is one of the first Trans border National Parks. It also is the
specie diverse wildlife area in Africa.
*The Okovango Delta is the largest swamp area in Africa. It is an
ancient river which through time the flow has been blocked by
the sands of Africa's second largest desert, the Kalahari. The
Kalahari is the largest wilderness area in Africa and is home of the
famous black manned Lion.
* The Namib Desert in Namibia is the oldest desert in the World, with
the highest Sand Dunes. Some of the Sand dunes are over 200m
high. The name comes from the Nama word ( Nama are a san origin
tribe in Namibia) Namib and means "nothing" .
*The MakgadhigadhI Pans in the Northern Kalahari in Botswana are
the Worlds largest salt pans and are visible from space.
*The Garden Route is a region in the Southern Cape of South Africa.
It is a Region 250km long along the coastal plain of the country and
and is covered by the only medditrean dry forest in South Africa.
It is also and area covered in fynbos ( the Worlds richest floral
kingdom), lakes, lagoon and deep river gorges. The bloukrans bridge
the site of the highest commercial bridge bungi jump in the
World.
*The St Lucia wetland area is a World heritage site and home to one
Africas largest hippo and crocodile population. It is one of the few
areas in the World where you can observe sea turtle coming ashore
to lay eggs ( November).
* The Knysna Forest Elephants is so rare it is seldom seen. There is
is a estimate of 5 left.
*In Namibia's Northern area one can find the last of the desert
elephant found in the World.
* The mines in Johannesburg are the deepest in the World.
*The Titsikamma National Park is one of the Worlds oldest Marine
Parks. It offers beautiful coastal scenery, with steep sea cliffs,
wonderful walks, and a diving route.
* False Bay, Cape Town is considered together with Gansbay (2 hours
from Cape Town) to have the Worlds largest Great White Shark
Populations. False Bay is the only area in the World where these
Sharks are seen to breach naturaly in there hunting behaviour.
* The coastline of the South Western Cape, especially Hermanus is
said to offer some of the best land based whale watching in the
World.
*The Addo National Park in the Eastern Cape close to Port Elizabeth is
the only National Park in Africa to offer the "big 7". These are Lion,
Elephant, Rhino, Buffelo, Leopard, Whales and Great White Shark.
*The South Africa Wine Region close to Cape Town is considered to be
one of the best in the World, comparable to France.
*Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden is one of the most famous Garden in
the World and covers an amazing 5.6km. It has won many awards at
the World Flower Show held in Chelsea in the United Kingdom.
* The West Coast of South Africa is one of the most floral diverse
areas in the World. Flower season is from mid august to end
september.
* Millers Point False bay is one of the unique breeding areas for
Cow Sharks on the South African Coastline.
* The Black Eagle and Martial Eagle are some of the largest eagle
species in the Africa and are found in most areas in Southern
Africa. The Black Eagle inhabating the mountain areas.
*South Africa is one of the leading countries for the sport of golf.
