Did you know that The Willets Hotel has been part of Simon’s Town history for over 200 years? Built in 1813, this iconic building has lived many lives - from its early days as “The Crown and The Anchor” to “The Willet’s Masonic Building” in 1878, thanks to George Willet.
In 1898, the building was remodelled by architect John Parker, transforming it once again. Over the years, the hotel has seen countless changes, even closing in 1920 when it became Eaton’s Building.
But in 2018, the legacy of hospitality returned, and the building proudly reopened as The Willets Hotel - honouring our past while embracing the future.
