Summer days are hot to put it mildly...and little people, especially the very active boys are in danger of dehydration. I recommend giving them a mixture of one third juice and two thirds water. The salt & sugar in the juice helps the body hold onto the liquid where just water will evaporate into sweat. Or make ice blocks of the mixture & offer as a 'lolly' to suck on. It will not cause sugar overload.
