TRAVEL AFRICA | KRUGER NATIONAL PARK 🐾
South Africa is renowned for its wildlife and its extraordinary safaris, and there’s no place that better showcases those than the Kruger National Park. It is the largest National Park in the country and boasts an incredible amount and variety of wildlife, including all of the Big Five. Across its almost 2 million hectares, Kruger National Park supports an incredible number of species: 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds and 147 mammals. Still, no specific sightings are guaranteed at Kruger National Park, and it’s best to plan a trip for a minimum of two days.
For more exclusivity and sensational game viewing, we’d recommend a safari in one of Kruger’s private reserves such as the Sabi Sands, Thornybush and Timbavati Game Reserve. These exclusive-use conservation areas are world-famous for their almost guaranteed Big 5 sightings, and the true beauty of these reserves are that it is not open to the public such as the main park itself. A visit to one of these reserves will make you not want to leave Africa.
