"10 reasons to travel to South Africa in December…2020 !!" 🇿🇦
Europe is under lockdown, again! But during a time when our lives have been punctuated by worrying figures and fear for (too) many months, here are a few elements that may allow us to raise our heads, look ahead, and keep hope for future travels. What if I told you that you could spend the festive season in South Africa?
Here are the 10 reasons to go to South Africa...now!
1) The predicted African disaster did not happen 😷
Everyone predicted a health catastrophe in Africa due to the pandemic. South Africa has had many cases and still has, there have been deaths, but nothing comparable to what happened in developed countries, mainly in Europe and America.
2) The borders are open... for real! ✈️
There is no high-risk country list anymore, all nationalities are welcome provided they hold a negative Covid test of less than 72 hours before entering the country.
3) Reduced health risks 🌡
Rapid tests are being deployed all over the world, travel insurance got you covered, airlines and hotels trained and Covid-ready, air renewal made easier during summer, social distancing at its best…We have now learn how to deal with this virus, and South Africa is well prepared to welcome tourists.
4) Be a tourist during festive season, without tourists! 🌍
This time of the year usually matches with crowded airports, late planes, poor services and high prices. This year, everything is different, you will get the unique opportunity to travel during high season with prices and condition of low season...
5) Weather at its best! ☀️
What could be more pleasant after a chaotic 2020 than to move on to 2021 drinking cocktail on a beach, enjoying South African summer and its ideal climate?
6) Affordable prices, now or never 💰
Five-star hotels advertised for the price of 3-star, attractive prices on international flights, personalized service…It’s time to travel to South Africa and enjoy what the country has to offer, with the best value for money ever experienced.
7) Get the best of welcomes 🤲
Think about all these people working in tourism who where deeply affected by the pandemic. They can’t wait to get back to work and will welcome you as their best hope for recovery and treat you like VIPs.
8) Get out of the gloom and change the world 🍀
For many months now, we have been fed with fear and anxiety. It’s now time to be positive and live again, to take a deep breath and move on on our lives. And what a better place to live again than the Cradle of Humanity.
9) Social distancing is a journey in Africa 🌍
Enjoy the wide open spaces, large cities, deserted beaches away from crowds. The ideal place to practice social distancing!
10) Let’s travel again, let’s live again! ✨
Life can start again. It may be difficult to hear now, but all actors in tourism are ready to welcome tourists again. It’s time to look ahead and trust them for a stepwise return to normal life.
Time to book your tickets!

Lolo is back !! ✨
After months away from South Africa because of the lockdown and borders closure, our super hero is now back at work to ensure we are ready for the reopening! 💪
After landing in Joburg, she spent a few nights at Satyagraha House.
"One hundred years ago, Mohandas Gandhi lived in this house in Johannesburg. Today, the Satyagraha House is both a museum and a guest house. A unique way to immerse yourself in the privacy of a man and the history of a country."
A beautiful house with a splendid history 🇿🇦
Now it is time for Lolo to go back to Addo and prepare the reopening, implementing safety measures against Covid-19 and making sure everything is ready to welcome you in the best conditions 😷
While waiting for the reopening, our team has been working on our detox cocktail menu to offer you the best selection of fresh and healthy drinks 🌱🍹
We use Green Rooibos that's organic, safe for pregnancy as well as caffeine and calorie free. This Green Detox juice will have you feeling fantastically full of energy in no time! 💪🏻
- 6 Green Rooibos Teabags ☕️
- 6 cups water 💦
- 1 organic lemon (we use the ones from the garden) 🍋
- 6 fresh mint leaves (from the garden too, of course!) 🍃
- 2 Tbsp natural sweetener of choice 🌾
- 1 cup ice cubes 🧊
In a large water pitcher, pour 6 cups of boiling water.
Add in the sliced lemons, Green Rooibos Teabags, fresh mint leaves and natural sweetener.
Let it steep for about 10 minutes before placing it in the fridge for at least 2-3 hours.
When ready, bring out of the fridge and add 1 cup of ice cubes before serving.
