Just a reminder that our triple rooms consist of a queen/double bed plus single bed and en-suite bathroom.
The kitchenette at the braai area has crockery and cutlery and a microwave for the convenience of our guests.
We also have frozen readymade meals to heat-and-eat.

Breakfast must be booked 24 hours in advance.

Our self-catering cottages/units have fully equipped kitchens.

We were quiet lately because from the 5th of May we experienced several extreme rainstorms as well as strong winds.
We had 450mm of rain and had no electricity or internet for several weeks.

Fortunately we didn't have considerable damage, only accommodation cancellations and fridges and freezers full of food that we lost.

But now our guests are enjoying OVER THE MOUNTAIN's hospitality and the beautiful green gardens again.

Even though our tea garden is officially closed, groups of people, especially hikers and cyclists, can still book to enjoy our scrumptious scones.
Today a group of 16 hiked from George across Cradock peak all the way to Herold.
We treated them to good coffee and scones, with homemade strawberry jam and cream.

Our cottage has the most beautiful view. I also love the old bluegum tree. It's waiting to become a painting.

When the Pilgrimage of Hope hikers arrive at OVER THE MOUNTAIN they can enjoy a proper rest and get spoiled with delicious trditional lamb potjie with savoury rice, scrumptious salads and the best malva pudding ever.

Early the next morning they enjoy real coffee and home made rusks and walk from the church down the Montagu pass with church bells ringing to energise them for the day ahead.
