Today we celebrate a very special member of the Seevarkie family – our wonderful hostess, Annalies.

Known for her delicious meals, legendary boat packs, and a laugh that can be recognised from miles away, Annalies brings warmth, energy, and joy to everyone who visits Seevarkie.

Thank you for all the care and dedication you put into making our guests feel at home. Your hard work and cheerful spirit are truly appreciated.

We wish you a blessed birthday and a year ahead filled with happiness, good health, and many unforgettable moments.

🎣 When the ocean is looking good and there are no guests to entertain, the Seevarkie crew also gets the chance to enjoy a day out fishing! 🌊☀️

Yesterday was a beautiful day in Sodwana Bay, and crew members Lynie, Poen and Annalies made the most of the great conditions out on the water.

Lynie caught a very interesting fish — a Remora, also commonly known as a “Tekkie” because of the suction disc underneath the fish that allows it to attach itself to sharks, boats and other large sea animals. 🐟

Poen had an exciting catch with a Hammerhead Shark, while both Poen and Annalies also landed some great Cutas during the day. 🎣🔥

Days like these remind us just how special life in Sodwana Bay really is — great weather, good company and unforgettable moments on the ocean. 💙

🎣 Day 5 of the annual The Reef Boys Competition ended on an absolute high note with Justin landing a Blue Marlin onboard Mrs. Seevarkie — without a doubt the highlight of the day! 🌊🔥

After an unforgettable week on the water, the final Top 3 positions were:
🏆 1st Place – Adios
🥈 2nd Place – Oom C-Breeze
🥉 3rd Place – My Lady

We are still waiting for the official final results and points for all the teams and will share them as soon as received.

A big congratulations also goes to Eben for receiving a prize for the Biggest Tuna caught for the day, while Ricus walked away with the memorable “Prick Of The Week” award. 😂👏

What an incredible week filled with memories, laughter, camaraderie and true fishing spirit. From early mornings and long days on the ocean to evenings filled with stories, music and plenty of laughs — this is what Sodwana memories are made of. 💙

To all the Mogalakwena Boys staying at Seevarkie Fishing & Accommodation, thank you for an amazing week. We truly enjoyed hosting you and cannot wait to welcome you all back again! 🎣🙌

🎣 Day 4 of the annual The Reef Boys Competition delivered a slightly quieter and more relaxed day on the water for some teams when it came to tight lines… but for others, the ocean still produced some great action! 🌊☀️

The team aboard Mrs. Seevarkie — Jan, the two Marks and Francois — had a lekker day on the water with 2 Cutas, 3 Skipjacks and a Tuna making their way into the hatch! 🐟🔥

Riaan on board Dev-Ocean also added to the excitement with a Tuna catch of his own and received a prize for the 2nd Heaviest Fish caught for the day! 🏆👏 Congratulations also to Hendrikus for receiving a prize for the 3rd Heaviest Fish caught for the day. 🎣🔥

And of course, what would a fishing week be without enjoying some of the fresh catches? Today the boys were spoiled by Tannie Annalies with delicious crispy baked Cuta Bones, while Tuna Sashimi was also enjoyed by many around the table. 😋🐟

🏆 Standings after Day 4:
1️⃣ Oom C Breeze – 155.4 points — still holding onto the lead! 👏
2️⃣ Impulsive – 152.7 points
3️⃣ My Lady – 148.1 points

🎣 Day 3 of the annual The Reef Boys Competition started with the Mogalakwena Boys running on very little sleep… with only a lucky few managing to get a decent night’s rest. 😅☕

But tiredness quickly disappeared once the boats hit the ocean, and the boys were once again ready for another adventurous day at sea! 🌊🔥

Some great catches during the day included:
🐟 Christie with a Cuta
🐟 Mark with a Tuna
🐟 Jaco with a Cuta
🐟 Matthys with another Cuta

And after Day 3, the leaderboard has become very exciting! 🏆

1️⃣ Oom C Breeze – 130 points — proudly one of the Mogalakwena Boys teams staying at Seevarkie Fishing & Accommodation and currently leading the competition! Congratulations to team members Justin, Jan, Johan, Giel & Jurie on an incredible performance today! 👏🎣
2️⃣ Jemka – 123.6 points
3️⃣ My Lady – 110.3 points

🎣 Day 2 of the annual The Reef Boys Competition was once again filled with great fun, excitement and fantastic fishing out on the ocean! 🌊☀️

Teams enjoyed another successful day with Tunas, Bonitas and Skipjacks making their way onto the scoreboards. 🐟🔥

A huge congratulations to Eben on board Oom C Breeze for landing the Biggest Tuna of the day and receiving a prize for his impressive catch, while Riaan also received a prize for catching the 2nd Heaviest Tuna of the day! 🏆👏

We also celebrated a special birthday at sea today — Happy Birthday Frikkie! 🥳 We hope your day was one to remember.

🎣 Day 1 done and what a start to the annual The Reef Boys Competition!

The Mogalakwena Boys staying at Seevarkie Fishing & Accommodation enjoyed a fantastic first day on the water, with perfect weather conditions making for an unforgettable day out at sea. 🌊☀️

The teams brought in an exciting variety of catches including Tunas, Cutas, Bonitas and Skipjacks — a true Sodwana experience! 🐟🔥

This week marks the annual The Reef Boys Competition taking place from 18 – 22 May, and we have the privilege of hosting the Mogalakwena Boys at Seevarkie Fishing & Accommodation.

What a way to spend a Sunday morning 🎣🌊

Today we had the pleasure of taking a group of 12 young people from Warriors Academy – The Ultimate Gap Year Program – out for some deep sea fishing, and the ocean delivered!

The group had an awesome experience catching Tuna, Skipjacks, and Bonitas while enjoying an unforgettable morning out at sea. 🐟☀️
