Gav and I have had to be very conscious of taking time off. Running a guesthouse and farm while both running our other businesses can leave us burnout! This year we are taking care of ourselves and in the process we are allowing our creative flow to shine again. It has been such a lesson to see just how burnout we have been in building to what it is today and how burnout just crushes creativity!

Could think of no better way to celebrate my 57th Birthday.

Nature has taught me that nothing meaningful rushes. Trees take time to root deeply. Soil becomes richer with every season. Rivers carve their strength slowly. Ageing, I have come to believe, is not decline — it is refinement. I feel better at 57 than I have ever felt!

Kokiville has been a gift that keeps giving for nearly a decade now. What started as a quiet dream has grown through seasons of drought and abundance, patience and persistence. Much like life itself. I am deeply grateful for every guest who has walked the Snail Trail, every conversation shared, every moment of presence, and every follower who has supported this journey from near or far.

This season of my life feels like my prime — not because it is loud or fast, but because it is rooted, intentional, and aligned. I love the cycle of ageing I am in. I trust it. I honour it.

Thank you for being part of this living, breathing ecosystem that is Kokiville. 🌱
