RE: CORONAVIRUS

In accordance with Airbnb and other hosting channels “extenuating circumstances policy” we will only accept cancellations where the guests reside in a severely affected area where they are impacted by containment measures, or in the event that our location falls under this category.

So far the single case that has tested positive for coronavirus in KZN is more than 220km from Mangrove Beach Estate and has no affect on us whatsoever.

It is our standard norm to use stringent disinfectants during our housekeeping so we are already up to standard with cleaning our apartment. We also supply hand cleanser and soap as guest amenities and encourage our guests to use them. As a commitment to the seriousness of cleanliness, we will provide ziplocs for the remotes which will be discarded once you vacate the apartment.

Our original cancellation policy will still apply to guests who cancel a reservation due to coronavirus fears if they are not directly impacted by the virus, related travel warnings or travel restrictions.
There has been some evidence that the virus does not survive for very long when exposed to UV light and high temperatures. Thankfully our coastal temperatures are quite high but even so, we urge our guests to take the necessary precautions. The World Health Organization recommends frequently washing your hands, avoiding close contact with those showing symptoms like coughing or sneezing, and seeking treatment if sick.
