Art and culture take on different forms across the Collection, but the intention remains the same, to let each space be shaped by creativity.

From curated works that move through Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel in partnership with Everard Read. To artists in residence at Lion Sands, bringing their process into view and the Creative Lab at Marataba Safari Lodge, where guests step behind the lens. Each experience offers a different way of engaging with art.

It began with time spent here.

Watching the seasons shift, the colours change, the way the landscape moves between blues, greens, and everything in between. From there, it became about balance. Creating spaces that feel warm and intentional, while still holding onto the view.

When it all came together, it was something the team had poured themselves into.

Orchids and safari may not seem connected, but here, they’ve become part of the experience.

What began with Louise More’s personal collection has grown into a living presence across our lodges. Each bloom is carefully tended, thoughtfully placed, and rotated through our spaces so that every detail feels considered. When their time on display comes to an end, they return to our shade houses to be nurtured once more, ready to begin again.

Across the Collection, each property carries its own botanical expression. Each space is paired with its own orchid, chosen with intention to reflect the character, palette, and feeling of that place. From city stays to safari settings, these blooms become a natural extension of their surroundings, grounding each experience in a sense of place.

It’s a detail you notice in passing, but one that stays with you long after you’ve left, a small, thoughtful thread woven through every stay.
