Did you know... an African elephant has two finger-like extensions at the tip of the trunk that allow it to grasp and bring food to its mouth? An Asian elephant has only one, and relies more on wrapping its trunk around food items and squeezing them into its mouth.

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is holding the African Elephant Summit this week in Botswana and experts say that Africa will lose a fifth of its elephants (100,000) over the next decade.
