Namaqualand is changing it's wintergreen apparel for brighter colours...and it is earlier than what I've ever witnessed. (Atleast by a month!)

Two things that make me wonder about this upcoming flower season..I am merely an observer and curious mind:

Some pollinators go into a state of inactivity during the winterseason...what happens if the flowers open before the pollinators rouse?

Also, namaqualand daisies, once open in young florets... are not frost prone...what would the repercussions of this be for the next flower season?

The rains were early and plenty.

And for those tempted to ask when is the best time to come look for flowers...the textbook answer would be late July to mid August.

This might not be a textbook year.

Again.
Here will always be flowers for those who care to look for them.
