At first glance, it looks like the cheetah is simply resting in the grass.

But from this position, it can scan the landscape for potential prey while remaining surprisingly difficult to spot. Unlike leopards, which rely on cover and ambush, cheetahs depend on speed, often identifying a target from a distance before beginning a pursuit.

Sometimes the most important part of the hunt isn't the chase. It's the wait.
