When I started this job I didn't understand why anyone would hire a trailer for a Facebook Marketplace pickup.

Then I watched someone try to fit a corner unit into a Golf.

Turns out: R280 for the day, no deposit, Diep River or Tokai or Kenilworth, whichever's on the way home from the seller. Standard Code B licence covers most. Back the same day, or by 09:00 next morning if the pickup runs late.

Half my week is calls from people about to attempt this.

What's the biggest thing you've watched someone try to fit into their car? Comment below, I'm collecting the stories.

How many trailers roll out of Diep River and Tokai each week heading up the Constantia Nek?

Enough that the branches know the turn-off before you tell them your address.

Constantia Nek is 8 minutes from Tokai and 12 from Diep River — closer than driving into town. W**e estates change over furniture. Homeowners renovate. Landscapers turn over gardens. It all runs on the same fleet.

Constantia neighbours — which road are you on? Comment and we'll tell you which branch to call.

When customers name a staff member by name in a review, we take that seriously.
Thanks, George.

"Bought some good quality boxes and hired a trailer from them. Hassle free hook up to my vehicle. Very reasonable and affordable prices. Thank you very much to George who gave excellent service." — Mr J

Ten minutes at pickup, back the same day, someone who knew what they were doing on the ground. That's George.

Wedding season starts. The venues know. The planners know. Trailer bookings start rolling in from mid-week.

Buitenverwachting, Constantia Nek, Groot Constantia — we know the routes. Barred-sided trailer for ceremony furniture and décor. Double axle if the guest count is big.

From R280 to R600 a day. No deposit. Sunday collection for the pack-down.

Planners — what's the setup-day story you're still telling at every conference? Drop it in the comments.

First week of spring, and the garden's already telling you what needs doing.

Southern Suburbs gardens are the first to bloom and the first to overgrow — get ahead of the weekend. Mesh trailer for the compost run. Barred-sided for the pruning. Double axle if you're pulling out old paving.

From R280 to R600 a day. No deposit. Sunday collection open.

What's on your spring project list — pruning, paving, planting? Tell us in the comments.

Depends what you're hiring.

Trailers: collection only. Pick up from whichever branch is on your route — Diep River, Tokai or Kenilworth. Same-day return or by 09:00 next morning.

Skips: delivered to your gate. Positioned where you want it (Constantia driveway, Kenilworth pavement, Bergvliet backyard). Collected when the pile's done. You don't need to be home.

One yard runs both. Same phone call sorts either.

Not sure which you need? Comment with what you're moving or clearing and we'll tell you which one, no obligation.

Trailer out the front. Skip out the back. Same phone call, same yard.

One address in Diep River — the only place in the Southern Suburbs where you can hire both.

Nine words. Every one of them is a spec check.

"Trailers at R280 a day. In good condition. Lights all work and efficient staff. What more could you ask for..." — Andrew Mitchell

Not much, honestly. Card payments, no deposit, Sunday collection, three branches. That's the operation.

📍 Tokai — 064 537 1016
📍 Kenilworth — 079 012 6363

Two cubes. R1350 a day. Delivered.

That's the full spec of the mini skip. Small enough for a Kenilworth driveway, big enough for a full bathroom rip-out. Or a garage clear-out. Or three weekends of pruning.

Garden foliage, rubble, household refuse, recycling — all accepted. Per cycle (1–3 days) or monthly if the project keeps growing. Package rates for construction projects. Contractor accounts on application.

Ask Johan — he handles skip enquiries and knows every driveway width in the Southern Suburbs.
