Floriana Lodge was the first executive lodge in Solwezi Opened in 2000, since then we have done several construction projects to further expand our facilities and services on offer. The proprietor of this company is Dr. Ludwig Sondashi. The lodge has 41 luxurious, air-conditioned rooms with en-suite bathrooms and private veranda. All the rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, telephone, writing desk, mosquito net, multi channel satellite television, mini bars and well maintained interior deco’. Each room has an individual theme. Laundry services are provided at a fee. The types of rooms available include self-catering rooms, deluxe suites, executive doubles, twin rooms and single rooms. Floriana provides western themed rooms and ethnic, tradition rooms. Floriana executive lodge has a 24-hour standby generator to ensure the availability of power in case of power outage. The lodge has an excellent security record and is guarded by security personnel 24 hours, 7 days a week. Restaurant & Bar Celebrated for its innovative mix of both local and western foods, spectacular presentation, great ambience and outstanding service, Floriana’s restaurant provides a memorable dinning experience. Our day begins with a bountiful buffet breakfast- tropical fruits, healthy cereals or the full English fry up. Variety of juices and hot beverages are also available. The lavish décor of the restaurant is marched by the succulent menu. The menu is diverse enough to carter for everyone‘s and anyone’s taste. Our buffet lunch, in an open restaurant surrounded by superb, lush gardens is enjoyed by every guest. A romantic dinner for two or a corporate function can be turned into a truly memorable occasion. Ala carte dinner menus with an impressive wine and beverage list that goes with impeccable service makes our restaurant people’s preferred choice. Our bar is well stocked to give guests pleasure in their leisure. Soccer games are enjoyed on a big plasma screen. Conference Floriana executive lodge is a superb venue for conferencing. The lodge has 2 main conference rooms, all with modern state of art conference facilities. These include projector, a television, a DVD player, VCR player, white board, flip chart stands etc. All our conference rooms have air conditioning and very good lighting. The lodge has very attractive conference packages that suite most budgets. Stationary and flit chart paper, refreshments and snacks are inclusive in the package. Wireless Internet service is available throughout the lodge grounds. Floriana executive lodge is located just as you enter Solwezi town and is the first lodge on the left as you drive into Solwezi from Chingola. Recreation and Gym Floriana executive lodge has a wonderful swimming pool that can be used for leisure purposes or exercise. Floriana staff can arrange games, picnics or any other activities. Our newly renovated state-of-the-art fitness facility features a wide range of cardio equipment including elliptical machines, recumbent bikes and treadmills. Strength training equipment includes cable cross machines. Full- bodyline of strength training machines includes leg extension, leg curl, leg press, and pull-down. We also have a full line of dumbbells ranging from 2.5-50 lbs. Personal training services are available daily and there are a variety of classes in studio. Locker rooms and showers are available at our spectacular gym as well as a steam room and sauna. We also have a day spa located at our gym. We believe that investing in health means that spa treatments are more than a luxury. It is a vital part of self-care that has positive effects on us as we work and care for others. Some of our treatments include Swedish massage, Deep Tissue massage, Zambian massage (Uchina), Waxing, Pedicures, Manicures and Facials. Gardens A breath taking garden, comprising lush green trees, sweet smelling roses and beautiful wild flowers surrounds the lodge. The garden offers a very relaxing environment in which comfortable wooden garden chairs can be found. Whether guests choose to spend an afternoon reading a book or an evening socializing with friends, the Floriana garden is the perfect spot for them to unwind. The gardens are also ideal for private functions such as corporate events, weddings, birthday parties or just a family outing. Attractions The lodge is located very close to the famous Kifubwa River that flows into the famous Zambezi River that culminates into the Victoria Falls. There are wild African animals that are located within the lodge; no need to worry they are harmless. The national monument in Solwezi (about 15 minutes away from the Lodge) has the oldest stone carvings in Southern Africa. The monument is near a beautiful stream and waterfall. Visitors can spend time lounging around on rocks. Mutanda Falls is beautiful and is about 1 hour, 30 minutes from the lodge. There you will find green grace and trees everywhere and the sound of the waters flowing. The green trees surrounding and growing in the water are beautiful, with birds and insects singing. Additional Information Transport Airport transfers and shuttles can be arranged by the lodge at a fee. The lodge can also arrange transport to neighbouring towns and any place of interest around the district. Transport and accommodation can be arranged for those wishing to experience Zambian tourism sites such as the Victoria Falls and national parks in other parts of the country. Parking The lodge has very secure open parking that can take up to 50 cars. There is no charge for parking whether you are a resident or a visitor. Staff Staff at the lodge are highly trained in hospitality to offer top quality personalized service with traditional Zambian warmth with a smile.
