Well folks, that is how it’s done…

A HOLE IN ONE AT TROUTBECK!

What a moment! Over the weekend, our ‘Hole-in-One’ Challenge saw its very first winner. With a $2 ball in hand, one incredible shot has just earned this lucky man a whopping $2,000 prize. Keep watching to see the money shot.

A huge congratulations to Conor Macmillan on an absolutely brilliant shot! You’ve officially earned yourself a spot on Troutbeck’s Hole-in-One Leaderboard!

Calling all golfers!

It’s time to dust off those golf clubs, round up your golfing mates, and get ready for the Troutbeck Classic Golf Tournament the 5th of December 2026.

With beautiful mountain views, a little friendly competition and perhaps a few bragging rights up for grabs, it promises to be a great day of golf. Both individual and team entries are welcome.

Individual Stableford | USD $50 per player

One of our favourite things about The Beck is how much natural light comes through, especially in the mornings when the sun is out and shining. Sunshine always makes the soul happy!

With our lawns stretching down towards the lake and the Nyanga mountains in the background, you’ve got a pretty lovely view to enjoy whilst having breakfast and sipping on your morning coffee.

And it’s just as nice at lunchtime, particularly if you’re in the mood for a long, leisurely lunch, with a little more time to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

75 years is a lot of Troutbeck to look back on!

We’ve been spending a little more time in the archives lately, and it’s amazing to see how much has changed over the years, but also how much has stayed the same.

The East Wing and Main Building were completed back in 1949, two years before Troutbeck officially opened its doors. Since then, the hotel has certainly seen its fair share of additions, renovations and changes, including our very own Beck Restaurant.

But even after all these years, so much of the original Troutbeck is still recognisable.

October mornings at Troutbeck are rather lovely…

The cold is starting to ease, everything is starting to look a little greener and the sun is coming up a bit earlier… which means mornings are perfect for a fresh game of tennis, a walk around the lake or simply getting outside and enjoying our gorgeous grounds before breakfast.

Spring is slowly turning into summer, and the warmer days have definitely arrived in Nyanga.

Over the 75 years that Troutbeck has been open, our walls hold a LOT of memories. Family holidays, golf weekends, weddings, engagements, anniversaries… and possibly quite a few stories we know nothing about.

Imagine waking up to this on a Sunday morning…

Horses grazing in the distance (or even outside your window), the Nyanga mountains as your constant backdrop, and not much else to disturb your peace.
