History

Kings Courtyard Vumba comprises two properties, Pat Wilde estate built in the 1950s and Havillah also known as Dunroming built in the early 1970s. Their rich colonial history is evidenced in the architectural style of the buildings that has been carefully preserved over many decades.

The Dzumbira family bought both properties in 2012 and 2013 respectively. They started renovations in 2018 transforming the residential houses into a boutique hotel. The properties are now a classic ‘old meets new’ with sleek modern furnishings juxtaposed with the colonial architecture.

The hotel currently boasts of 11 bedrooms, styled to host royalty and providing exceptional comfort away from home. Sitting on more than 25 acres of pristine mount Valley, marked and hilly terrain, cultured with rich flora and fauna.
