Inspired by the city’s old Bastakiya neighbourhood, Madinat Jumeirah was designed to capture the spirit of Dubai.

An icon of Dubai, featuring four hotels (Jumeirah Al Qasr, Jumeirah Mina Al Salam, Jumeirah Al Naseem, Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf), a traditional Arabian souk, spa, and over 50 restaurants and bars, all set against 2km of private beach. The team responsible for creating the resort was encouraged to visit Dubai Creek and the Al Fahidi historical neighbourhood to take ideas from the water ways, abras, a

rchitecture, wind towers and labyrinth of narrow alleyways which date back to the 1890s. The end result was Madinat Jumeirah, an authentic recreation of old-world Arabia which officially opened in October 2004. Renowned for its outstanding beauty and authentic Middle Eastern architecture, the 3km of meandering waterways have become a defining feature. Guests can explore the resort on the traditional abra boats and discover why Madinat Jumeirah is the jewel of Dubai.
